Cold temperatures this past week impacted fishing effort. However, catch rates remained good, under 10 hrs per fish caught according to IDFG creel. Boat anglers were seen from Memorial Bridge to the Pink House boat ramp. The shore anglers that were fishing the main stem were spread out from the Cherry Lane Bridge to around Lenore. The North Fork had anglers either fishing along the wall or the bridge.
Based upon reports today the mainstem Clearwater River above the North Fork still has stretches of ice and slushy conditions overall. Below the North Fork Clearwater River the mainstem is free of ice and fishable. So get out there and enjoy!
