TEXT2DRIVE has re-created its Mobile Operations Module, which we call MOM, and now anyone at a dealership can text video to customers of work issues or vehicles for sale.
A service advisor, or just about any employee, can use MOM. You enter the cell phone number in the Select Customer field, and press send. First, it's a good idea to text the customer a short message letting them know that you're going to be sending them a video, and basically giving them the instructions and how to acquire the video once it's received.
So, the instructions are being typed and sent, and in just a second this employee will go to the camera video option on their MOM, as you’re seeing right now, and begin recording a video of exactly what they want the customer to see.
Gregg: Okay Jan, hi, it's Gregg and now let me show you what we're seeing here. I’m going to zoom in on this as close as I can get. And you can see there’s a bunch of oil leaking. You know what I’m saying? So, I think we should have a conversation about this because I see some oil up here which is not good. So, we really need to have a conversation about what I’m seeing, okay?
The advisor or employee presses the send button and this video is text to the customer directly to their phone.
The customer receives a text notification from TEXT2DRIVE and then opens the message. Now you can see on Jan's phone, both the original message the advisor sent, and also the fact that the advisor has sent her a video. She's going to press on that button that says, “tap to load preview”, and then the TEXT2DRIVE video player button will appear and she will press that.
She pressed the button and now the video loads directly onto her phone via text message.
Customers love to receive videos of service issues. It makes it so much easier for them to understand why they may need certain services performed. Jan is going to go ahead and she's actually going to reply to the video that she received right from her cell phone, right directly to her adivisor at the dealership that’s using TEXT2DRIVE.
