Officers were forced to use a stun gun on an unruly man who was spotted running naked through south Tulsa as he chased another unidentified man on Friday, a police corporal said.
A woman called the police just before 3 p.m. to report seeing a man acting strangely near the Tamarack Place apartments in the 1100 block of East 60th Street. The man was wearing clothes at the time and was rolling around in the grass by a fence outside the apartments, Cpl. Christy Kellerhals said.
At some point, another man became involved. The man about whom police had received the initial call started chasing him, taking his clothes off as he was running, Kellerhals said.
Several people, including the responding officer, saw the naked man chasing the other man toward Peoria Avenue. The man being chased ran away, and police never found him, Kellerhals said.

Additional officers arrived. The naked man failed to comply with their commands, and one of the officers deployed a Taser at him, Kellerhals said.
The man was taken into custody without further incident. One of the officers retrieved the man's clothes from near the fence, Kellerhals said.
Using a Taser prevented officers from having to physically take down the man, which could have caused further physical injury to him and any of the officers involved, Kellerhals said.
"It was obvious he was under the influence of something," she said.
The man was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. He showed signs of drug use, including significant sweating, dehydration and incoherent speech, Kellerhals said.
The man was admitted to the hospital and potentially faces misdemeanor charges of outraging public decency and obstructing police upon his release, Kellherals said.
