It's not just McDonald's! Now KFC, Taco Bell and Nando's reveal secret menus (including a Zinger Stacker and the Incredible Hulk)

  • Former employee last month revealed McDonald's DOES have secret menu
  • Other fast-food chains reportedly offer customers bespoke items
  • Include a Monster Mac at McDonald's and Frings at Burger King
  • New unknown items come from Nando's, Taco Bell and Five Guys

First came the McDonald's secret menu - a hybrid of burgers created bespoke for those in the know, including the McGangBang and the Monster Mac.

Now other fast-food chains have followed suit, with KFC, Nando's and Taco Bell all revealing that they too have off-the-menu concoctions customers can order.

While food site Hack The Menu leaked that Colonel Sanders' fried-chicken chain already sold the Triple Down Burger (a sandwich that replaces the bun with chicken fillets), Cosmopolitan has revealed there are more hacks to be enjoyed.

KFC had previously had secret items revealed but new editions have been bought to light including the Ultimate Zinger a mash up of the Ultimate Burger but with the addition of a Zinger fillet

The unheard of dishes include the Ultimate Zinger (a mash-up of the Ultimate Burger but with the addition of a Zinger fillet); and the Zinger Stacker (two Zinger Fillets, two slices of melted cheese, lettuce, spicy sauce and chili relish).

Although, it seems this addition is only available in Australia.

In Nando's, one customer revealed they ordered a Peri-tamer, which includes an extremely mild sauce from the children's menu can be added to any of the adult chicken dishes when requested.

There's also the Hawaiian chili chicken melt, which takes the simple chicken burger and adds extra cheese, chili jam and pineapple.

And a Nando's employee took to question and answer site Quora to reveal the other menu hacks on offer at the chain.

Minder Kaur said: 'Items that aren't presented explicitly or at all on the new menu include beanie or veg fillets by themselves as you can get a chicken fillet, an option to have feta cheese as a side and a chili wrap.

'If you aren't already aware, there is an option for customers to get multiple sauces or bastes used on their meals. For example, if you are ordering a sharing platter of a whole chicken with two sides / four sides, it is possible to get half of that chicken Peri-Tamer and the other half Mango and Lime or whatever other sauce you would prefer.

Other reveals came from the American diner Five Guys with Hack The Menu disclosing that well-done fries (pictured)  and double-grilled cheese burger were also available

Taco Bell is also said to include sell some unknown dishes. The Incredible Hulk takes the traditional beef burrito and replaces the nacho cheese with guacamole for a somewhat green version.

Although many of the restaurants are yet to confirm having a secret menu, the proof has appeared across various social media outlets as users share images of their off-menu conquests.

And some companies have admitted that customers are able to add to their orders.

A spokesman for Burger King denied having a secret menu and said: 'Our restaurants are committed to providing our guests with choice, and all customers are able to customise their order, by adding ingredients to our menu offerings.'

Subway claimed the same. A spokesman said: 'All Subway stores are independently owned and operated by franchisees. While we only have one core menu, the Subway brand prides itself on offering choice to customers so that they can have their Sub made the way they like it.'

Last month a McDonald's manager confirmed on Reddit that the secret menu did exist - to the delight of many customers.

The fast-food insider - who did not give his name - then claimed that customers could order from the secret menu - saying it was made by 'random people' rather than from McDonald's staff.

They replied: 'You can order from the "Secret Menu". Just like with any of our sandwiches, you can add, remove or change ingredients by special request. These are called "grill orders" (ie Big Mac no pickle).'

However, McDonald's has since claimed that this is not true. In response to the manager's claim on Reddit a spokesperson for McDonald's said: 'There is no secret menu at McDonald's UK.'

The All American Burger and Fries with Big Mac Sauce: More familiar to older customers of McDonalds, the All American burger is simply without cheese and harks back to a simpler time for the fast food giant. Moreover, everyone knows that the best thing about the Big Mac is the special sauce and to that end on the secret menu is the option of asking for a side of the signature condiment (right) with fries

Old Cut - Not in any way a new dish, it is, in fact, the old way Subway used to cut their sandwiches. At some point over the last decade, the policy somehow changed from cutting down from the top to cutting in from the side.

The Hack the Menu team suggest finding an artisan familiar with the old style as a top-down cut somehow helps the sandwich hold onto the ingredients better. - Normally priced subs

Wing Effect - Again a change in presentation rather than content. This is for people who like to go at their sandwich one ingredient at a time. Simply ask your sandwich maker to leave the meat closer to the edge of the bread, so it hangs out the side, and voila - wing effect. - Normally priced subs.

Triple Down: Strictly for an American audience, the Triple Down is a riff on the infamous Double Down, which was released in US outlets in 2010.

While the Double Down is no longer available, the Hack the Menu team assure readers that if they ask nicely, its larger cousin can still be whipped up (for a variable cost).
