When is Norwalk's Memorial Day Parade?

Details about the parade and traffic restrictions.

Norwalk’s Memorial Day parade starts at Veterans Park in East Norwalk.

On a side note, there will be no garbage collection on Memorial Day. Trash normally picked up then will be picked-up Tuesday and Tuesday’s routes will be picked up Wednesday and so on until Friday’s routes are picked up on Saturday.

The Norwalk Police Department announces a temporary road closure of the Memorial Day Parade

route on Monday, May 25, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to approximately 12:30 p.m.

The parade starts at Veterans Park in East Norwalk and proceeds east on Van Zant Street, then

north on East Avenue prior to concluding at the Norwalk Green.

Van Zant St, East Ave (south of Route 1), and the northbound and southbound ramps of I-95 Exit 16

will be closed to all traffic.

This closure will allow Norwalk’s Memorial Day Parade to proceed safely to the Norwalk Green.

Variable Message Signs located along I-95 and at the Exit 16 ramps will serve to notify motorists of

the Exit 16 closure.

All other I-95 exits in Norwalk will remain open during the parade.
