বদর আলিকে আমি বললাম, " আপনি কেন জঙ্গিবাদে জড়ালেন ? "
বদর আলি বলল, " আমি ছিলাম সেনাবাহিনীর মেজর। আমি যে ক্যান্টনমেন্টে ছিলাম সেই ক্যান্টনমেন্টের জিওসি ছিল দুর্নীতিবাজ। তাই দুর্নীতির প্রতিবাদ করার কারণে আমাকে জিওসি চেইন অব কমান্ড না মানার বাহানায় সেনাবাহিনী থেকে বের করে দেয়। এই কারণেই সেদিনই মনে মনে শপথ করেছিলাম, জিহাদ করে নিজেকে উৎসর্গ করব। তাই বড় হুজুরের সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করে এই দলে ঢোকেছি। এই দলে ঢোকে আমি যে সম্মান পেয়েছি, সেটা সেনাবাহিনীতে দশ বছর চাকরি করেও পাইনি। এক কথায় বলতে গেলে, বড় হুজুরের সংস্পর্শে আমার জীবনটাই বদলে গেছে। "
আমি বললাম, " আপনি সেনাবাহিনী থেকে বহিষ্কৃত মেজর। আপনার গতিবিধি কি নজরদারি করা হয় না ? আপনি কোথায় আছেন, সেটা কি খোঁজ নেয়া হয় না ? "
বদর আলি মৃদু ধমক দিয়ে বলল, " রাখো তোমার নজরদারি। চাকরিতে থাকতে ছিলাম বড় অফিসারদের অবহেলার পাত্র। দুর্নীতির প্রতিবাদ করে হলাম বহিষ্কৃত। এখনও কি আমাকে নজরদারি করবে ? খেয়ে দেয়ে আর সেনাবাহিনীর কাজ নাই। চাকরি থেকে চলে আসার সময় জিওসিকে বলেছিলাম, " আপানার চক্রান্তের শিকার হয়ে চাকরি ছেড়ে চলে যাচ্ছি, তবে বিষয়টা আমার মনে থাকবে। " তখন আমাকে জিওসি নোংরা গালি দিয়ে বলেছিল, " যাঃ ব্যাটা যাঃ, গিয়ে আমার কয়টা লোম ছিঁড়তে পারিস ছিঁড়গে। " আর আমি এখন এই ঘাঁটিতে থাকলেও বাড়িতে বলে এসেছি, আমি দুই বছরের জন্য চিল্লায় আছি। তাই কেউ কোন সন্দেহ করবে না। "
বদর আলির কথা শেষ হলে আমাদের ডান দিকে এসকেএস রাইফেল নিয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকা লোকটা বলল, " আমার নাম কলিমদ্দি। আমি ছিলাম প্রাইভেট ডিটেক্টিভ। নিজের মেধা, পরিশ্রম আর টাকা খরচ করে অনেক বড় বড় অপরাধী আর দুর্নীতিবাজকে পুলিশের হাতে তোলে দিয়েছি। কিন্তু বিনিময়ে কিছুই পাইনি। বরং আমার ধরিয়ে দেয়া অপরাধীদেরকে দেখিয়ে কেউ এডিশনাল এসপি থেকে এসপি হয়েছে, কেউ এডিসি থেকে ডিসি হয়েছে। কিন্তু ভদ্রতার খাতিরে আমাকে একটা ফোনও করেনি। হ্যাঁ, আমি বলছিনা যে, ঢাক - ঢোল পিটিয়ে আমাকে মানুষের সামনে বলুক, আমি অনেক অপরাধী ধরিয়ে দিয়েছি। গোপনে হলেও তো আমার সঙ্গে যোগাযোগ করে আমাকে একটা ধন্যবাদ দিতে পারত। একবার একটা বড় অপরাধীকে ধরিয়ে দেয়ার পর উল্টো আমাকেই সেই এলাকার এসপি গালি দিয়ে ধমকে বলেছিল, " কীরে শালা, আমি এসপি হয়ে যে অপরাধী ধরতে পারলাম না, তুই ধরলি কীভাবে ? তুই শালা আরো বড় অপরাধী। " এই কথা শোনে আমি সেদিন কোন রকমে সেই এলাকা থেকে পালিয়ে এসেছিলাম। "
এই কথা শোনে আমরা সকলেই হেঃ হেঃ হেঃ করে হেসে উঠলাম।
আমি হাসতে হাসতে কোন রকমে বললাম, " দেশের জন্য কাজ করলে এমন কথা শোনা হতেই পারে। "
কলিমদ্দি মুখ ভ্যাংচে বলল, " খাও তো বাপের হোটেলে, আর খরচও কর বাবার টাকা। তাই টের পাও না। যদি নিজের টাকায় চলতা, তাহলে বুঝতা। পুলিশ, প্রশাসন আর সেনাবাহিনীর লোকেরাও তো দেশের জন্য কাজ করে বেতন ও অন্যান্য সুবিধা নেয়, তাহলে প্রাইভেট ডিটেক্টিভরা নিতে সমস্যা কোথায় ? অবশেষে ডিটেক্টিভগিরিতে টাকা - পয়সা শেষ করে শূণ্য হাতে ঢাকার রমনা পার্কে বসে ছেলে - মেয়েদের মিলনমেলা দেখছিলাম। তখন পার্কের পাশে কাকরাইল মসজিদ থেকে বড় হুজুর এসে আমাকে বললেন, " হতাশ হওয়ার কোন কারণ নাই। " তখন বড় হুজুরের সঙ্গে এই স্থানে এলাম আর আমার জীবনের অভাব অনটনও চলে গেল। "
রাইফেল নিয়ে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকা আরেকটা লোক বলল, " আমার নাম রতন বালা। আমি ছিলাম একটা কলেজের প্রভাষক। হঠাৎ করে আমার থেকে কলেজ কমিটির সভাপতি পাঁচ লাখ টাকা চাইল। টাকা দিতে অস্বীকার করলে আমাকে সভাপতি কলেজ থেকে বের করে দিলো। বিষয়টা কেমন করে জানি বড় হুজুর জানতে পেরে আমার কাছে এসে বলেছিলেন, " দুঃখ কর না। আমার ঘাঁটিতে তুমি আরো সুবিধা পাবে। " তখন বড় হুজুরের সঙ্গে এই স্থানে চলে এসেছি। অবসর সময়ে এই স্থানে আমি অন্যান্য সাথিদেরকে জিহাদি বই পড়ে শোনাই। এই স্থানে এসে আমি যে সুযোগ - সুবিধা পেয়েছি, কলেজে পঞ্চাশ বছর চাকরি করেও এমন সুবিধা পেতাম না। " (চলবে http://ow.ly/KE2t1038NXi) ©️All Right Reserved by Junayed Ashrafur Rahman
