Academic Parent Teacher Teams (APTT) replaces traditional parent/teacher conferences with three group meetings throughout the year, where teachers meet at once with all the parents in their classrooms. This family engagement model is dual capacity in building collaboration between schools and parents. APTT is a high impact model that aligns grade-level concepts and student performance data. At the meetings teachers provide an in-depth coaching session with families on how to use and interpret this data. Families are provided with strategies and tools to help support learning at home and together, families and teachers set goals for their students to improve outcomes.
