Hace ya algunos años, cuando decidí “darle vida y movimiento” a las fotografías con la técnica del timelapse, nunca imaginé los resultados e imágenes que esta técnica puede llegar a mostrarnos, gracias a ella podemos ver cosas que nuestros ojos jamás podrán ver debido a la lentitud con la que ocurren.
Desde un principio he querido mostrar al mundo el enorme potencial que posee la isla de Lanzarote con la combinación de los paisajes volcánicos y los fenómenos meteorológicos. Los resultados pueden llegar a ser increíbles. No puedo dejar pasar las secuencias nocturnas, algo más difícil de conseguir que en las otras islas con mejores condiciones, debido a la escasa altitud. Han sido en estos casi 7 meses de trabajo, muchas noches buscando secuencias nocturnas que resultaron fallidas, debido a las malas condiciones de visibilidad ya sea por las abundantes nubes o por la calima.
Han sido más de 10.000 fotografías que he realizado, tanto para las secuencias finales del vídeo, como las descartadas. He utilizado los paisajes de la isla, pero desde otra perspectiva, la perspectiva que a mí me ha cautivado desde mi niñez y que ahora comparto y puedo mostrar gracias a la técnica del timelapse.
El equipo que he utilizado han sido varias cámaras Nikon y Sony, con objetivos o lentes Sigma.
Durante la realización de algunas secuencias, tuve la suerte de que mi amigo Christian me acompañase y observase de primera mano cómo realizo los timelapses y lo que hay detrás. Un trabajo de planificación y observación, sobre todo de la naturaleza que nos rodea. La preparación y planificación de las escenas con meses de antelación y no siempre con el resultado esperado. Por supuesto no puede faltar una vez más, el agradecimiento a mi familia y su complicidad, sin ella no sería posible este trabajo.

A few years ago, when I decided to "give life and movement" to the photographs with the timelapse technique, I never imagined the results and images that this technique can show us, thanks to it we can see things that our eyes will never see due to the slowness with which they occur.
From the beginning I wanted to show the world the enormous potential of the island of Lanzarote with the combination of volcanic landscapes and meteorological phenomena. The results can be incredible. I can not pass the night sequences, something more difficult to achieve than in the other islands with better conditions, due to the low altitude. They have been in these almost 7 months of work, many nights looking for nocturnal sequences that were unsuccessful, due to the bad conditions of visibility either by the abundant clouds or by the haze.
There have been more than 10,000 photographs that I have made, both for the final sequences of the video, and the discarded ones. I have used the landscapes of the island, but from another perspective, the perspective that has captivated me since my childhood and that I now share and can show thanks to the timelapse technique.
The equipment I have used have been several Nikon and Sony cameras, with lenses or Sigma lenses.
During the realization of some sequences, I was lucky that my friend Christian accompanied me and observed at first hand how I make the timelapses and what is behind. A work of planning and observation, especially of the nature that surrounds us. The preparation and planning of the scenes months in advance and not always with the expected result. Of course I can not miss once again, thanks to my family and their complicity, without it this work would not be possible.
