Opportunities are abound; TBG partner Theresa Nardone discusses exactly what they are.

Patch: Describe the Triumph Building Group home-building process.

Nardone: We start with identifying a property for our clients' home to be built on if they don't already have one. Once we have that, we learn what they want within their home and work with them to build their budget. We coordinate and attend all meetings between our architect and our client to work through their home plan and the design process. Once that is done, we set up meetings with each of our preferred vendors and suppliers to select the finishes within the clients' home. We coordinate and attend all on-site meetings with the client and our trade partners during the construction of their home to ensure all is going as planned.

Patch: How do you ensure that your clients achieve their dream home? What makes the Triumph Building Group experience unique?

Nardone: Our approach is simple: it's about the buyer, not us. We listen to what they want and need within their new home and provide our expertise and guidance while never losing sight of the ultimate goal, which is making their dream come true. Our process is ongoing. We never hesitate to bring ideas to the client to be sure they are exploring and considering ideas and design options and alternatives to make their dream home the best it can be for them.

Patch: Tell us about your background and the role it plays within the Triumph Building Group business model.

Nardone: I have been in the new home-building industry since 1989. I have done everything from new home sales to sales and marketing as a vice president and was an executive vice president and operations manager for a top-10, national, new home builder, which has afforded me the opportunity to learn the business from every aspect. This allows me to fill several roles within Triumph, especially in the sales and marketing area.

Patch: What is your definition of success? How do you measure it?

Nardone: Success, in my mind, means several things — doing what I set out to do and doing it as well as I can, and then some, is success. This success creates the sense of satisfaction. Along with satisfaction comes happiness, and it is important that those that work with me are happy and satisfied as well. Repeat business and referrals is one measure of success, along with satisfaction and happiness, both personally and professionally, and ultimately growth within our business.

Patch: Tell us the more common mistakes you’ve seen first-time home-buyers make.

Nardone: Often, first-time buyers' mistake is that they are hung up on things that, in the long run, aren't important. They feel they need more of the "bells and whistles" versus the solid basics, like buying the smaller home in the right neighborhood with the right schools, for instance.

Patch: What questions should families ask themselves when interested in beginning the home-building process?

Nardone: They need to determine where their priorities are, which start with the location, property size and schools, and then move toward the home and what features are important both inside and out, which includes the size of the home.

Patch: Triumph Building Group specializes in multiple communities throughout Bucks County and Montgomery County. What is the draw to these locations?

Nardone: These areas offer great schools, convenience to major roadways for commuters and great local amenities, such as shopping, dining and entertainment. Airports and train stations are plentiful and easily accessed, which is another draw to these areas. The affordability aspect rages from entry-level to the upper end and every place in between, creating great options.

Patch: What have been your proudest moments with the Triumph Building Group?

Nardone: Our company is a newer company and with that said, I would say we are proud to be working together as partners and truly believe in Triumph Building Group as well as each other. We have a tremendous level of respect for one another and the expertise and experience in the new home building industry that we each hold. This makes for a great working relationship and allows for the greatest opportunity for success.

Patch: What is your outlook for the future of the Triumph Building Group?

Nardone: We look forward to growing our company with a combination of smaller subdivisions and custom homes on our lots or our buyers' lots and to making our buyers' dreams come true.
