OEC and Geosource Energy Inc. announce strategic geo-exchange partnership
Joint venture will capture strengths of both firms to deliver best-in-class renewable heating and cooling energy systems in North America
Toronto, Canada—OEC and Geosource Energy Inc. announced that they have entered a long-term strategic partnership to deliver best-in-class renewable geo-exchange energy systems. The new partnership will seek to provide solutions that support the decarbonization of communities by working with developers to advance the implementation of green heating and cooling systems.
Together, both organizations bring more than 30 years of combined experience to the renewable energy sector, having designed and delivered over 300 geo-exchange energy systems, as well as other renewable power generation projects.

OEC Acquires Utility Engineering Firm DPM Energy Inc.
Group Bolsters Power Distribution Capabilities
Oakville, Canada—OEC has completed the acquisition of DPM Energy Inc. (DPM), a power distribution engineering provider based in Vaughan, Ontario.
Founded in 2010, DPM provides electrical power grid and distribution design, installation and utility rehabilitation services, as well as public space lighting designs for utilities, housing developers and transit owners. This latest addition will expand OEC’s infrastructure design and engineering services.
“The transition to greater electrification will require increased grid resiliency, reliability and modernization,” said Rob Lister, President and Chief Executive Officer, OEC. “DPM possesses an intimate knowledge of power distribution design which will help better support our clients as the demand for energy continues to grow. We are pleased to welcome DPM to our growing group of companies.”

Acquisition Strengthens Group’s Position in North American Infrastructure Services Market
Vancouver, Canada—OEC has completed the acquisition of EMB Management Ltd. (EMB), a provider of engineering, inspection, project management and quality assurance services for the gas distribution industry. The acquisition expands OEC’s turnkey service offering while enhancing asset management and decision-making support for clients.

Western Canadian Office Marks OEC’s Ongoing Expansion of Canadian Operations

Location Intelligence One Window Solution Recognized by Ontario Energy Association
Industry Award Presented to OEC Company Planview Utility Services during the 2022 OEA Awards
Toronto, ON, October 5, 2022– Through its business Planview Utility Services Limited (Planview), OEC has been recognized by the Ontario Energy Association (OEA) for its development of One Window. The solution is a leading-edge location intelligence tool that enables the collaboration of multiple stakeholders as they work to digitally connect underserved communities across Ontario.One Window provides the first-of-its-kind provincial-wide collaboration tool, bringing all 60 local distribution companies, as well as more than 400 municipalities, natural gas distributors and internet service providers into a single spatially enabled online platform.
