Our mission
The Ocean Rise & Coastal Resilience Coalition promotes adaptation to sea level rise and ocean change by supporting cooperation among local authorities, scientific and financial institutions, and all stakeholders committed to the transformation of coastal cities and regions.

Mobilisation
Building a dedicated ecosystem around regular convenings of local elected representatives and stakeholders to foster the exchange of knowledge, best practices, and solutions.
Knowledge
Mobilising scientific expertise, local and Indigenous knowledge to guide risk-informed adaptation and resilience planning.
Capacity-Building
Facilitating access to strategic partnerships and capacity-building opportunities to empower local players in driving community-led adaptation efforts.
Finance
Engaging public and private financial stakeholders to design, implement and provide tailored coastal adaptation financial mechanisms.
Advocacy
Elevating the voice and needs of coastal cities and regions in global and national decision-making spaces.

The cities joining the Coalition voluntarily commit to work alongside fellow national and local governments, and key stakeholders to drive meaningful change and build a sustainable and thriving future for our coastal cities and regions.
