With the trust of its partners, Civic Center Conservancy was able to transform its food truck program Civic Center EATS to a model for collective social impact. Honest conversations, identifying common goals and a leap of faith can accelerate alignment and purpose for nonprofit and corporate partnerships. Through a common goal of workforce development and opportunities, this partnership was able to expand its workforce program WORKS to revitalize Civic Center Park in the heart of Denver into a clean, safe, and beautiful oasis while providing work opportunities to young people ages 16-24. Utilizing a trust-based philanthropy model allowed Civic Center Conservancy the space to envision the opportunity, identify other partners, and understand the challenges–together with their corporate partners. This model of collective impact allowed multiple organizations to come together to uplift and support our community with one united goal. Join to learn the inner workings of building a trust-based philanthropy partnership from beginning to end.
