Review the following requirements prior to registering for the Virtual Program:

• Student is enrolled in Greenwood School District 50 for the 21-22 school year in Kindergarten- 12th grade. Grade levels and courses will be offered based on demand.

• The virtual program will be a district program and not a school based program.

• The following are not offered in the virtual program:

  • Choice and Magnet Programs

  • Courses at G. Frank Russell Technology Center

  • JROTC

  • Advanced Placement (based on current regulations from College Board in regards to access of certain materials)

  • Aerospace

  • Banking Services

  • Theater 2, Media Arts 1, Musical Theater 1 & 2

  • 3-D Design 1 & 2, Art Drawing 1 & 2, Art 2/AP Art

  • Weightlifting

  • Yearbook

  • Chorus

  • Other Performance Based (hands on) Courses

• Year long commitment for the 2021-2022 school year. At the end of the semester, requests to change to face-to-face will be reviewed but not guaranteed.

• Students must attend all live sessions and participate every day, just as in a brick and mortar program. Students must be available for the length of the school day in order to actively participate in the Virtual Learning Program. All secondary classes will be synchronized with the classroom teacher and the daily school schedule.

• Student must have reliable internet access.

• A Chromebook will be issued to virtual students in our district.

• Parent/Guardian must transport student to testing site for district, state, and federal mandated assessments as requested on designated days.

• Students must be provided a virtual learning space, free of distractions and background noise.

• Your school will contact you by April 30, 2021 to discuss next steps for the 2021-2022 school year.

• Students will not be recommended for the virtual program for the 2021-2022 school year if the student was not successful in the virtual setting for the 2020-2021 school year (attendance and grades).
