The increasing temperature of the past years distresses Marcu Razvan. The farmer from the region around the Rumanian city of Alexandria is losing up to 30 percent of his total production - because of the heat. To seed sunflower plants and corn earlier and sprinkle the field might be just one way to get the usual crop. Razvan hopes for the work of seeding companies and already uses drought tolerant hybrid seeds, developed by KWS. They bear up under massive variations in temperature – and they can be up to 20 degrees Celsius, explains Razvan.
