Something remarkable has arrived in the heart of Perth for you to discover during your conference stay. The Boonji Spaceman, a seven-metre-tall sculpture by internationally renowned artist Brendan Murphy, is now on display in Stirling Gardens on St Georges Terrace, just a short walk from many of the city’s conference venues. Inspired by Perth’s legacy as the City of Light, the artwork pays tribute to the moment in 1962 when astronaut John Glenn observed the city illuminated from space during his orbit of Earth. Perth is now one of only six cities worldwide to host a Boonji Spaceman, joining Antigua, London, Oslo, Houston and Dubai. Whilst in Perth, be sure to take a moment to explore this impressive new installation! #CityofPerth
