This week, we’re excited to welcome Jessica Antunez Garza, The Dalles High School graduate, and Debby Jones, Youth Prevention Coordinator at YouthThink, for a conversation on how local businesses can better connect with youth in our community.

Jessica led a unique project called the Youth Perspective Environmental Scan, evaluating how downtown businesses are marketing to — and serving — young people. With Debby’s guidance, this effort offers eye-opening insights and practical ideas for creating more youth-friendly spaces in The Dalles.

This is a great opportunity to hear directly from local youth voices and explore how we can build a more inclusive, future-focused business community.

The June HubTalk in The Dalles takes us beyond the cliches of networking. Networking for Humans invites you to take a fresh look at how we build connections. We can leave behind the stiff formality and robotic exchanges. This HubTalk is an open space to share the real highs, occasional stumbles, and endless potential in connecting with others.

It’s not about pitching or perfecting your script. It’s about exploring how to be fully present and engage meaningfully, no matter where you’re at on your networking journey. Whether you’re just dipping your toes in or you’ve been around the block, we’ll dive into what makes connection feel natural, engaging, and alive.
