2025 HSA Limits Are Announced

On May 9, 2024, the IRS announced the Health Savings Account limits for 2025.  With respect to contribution limits, the limits are higher than the ones for 2024 and the required deductible and out-of-pocket maximums have increased as well.  As a reminder, these inflation adjusted amounts are effective for calendar year 2025.

HSA/HDHP Requirement Cost-of-Living Adjustments
Limit on HSA Contributions – Self-only HDHP 2024 – $4,150

2025 – $4,300

Limit on HSA Contributions – Family HDHP 2024 – $8,300

2025 – $8,550

HDHP Required Deductible – Self-only HDHP 2024 – $1,600

2025 – $1,650

HDHP Required Deductible – Family HDHP 2024 – $3,200

2025 – $3,300

HDHP Out-of-pocket Maximum – Self-only HDHP 2024 – $8,050

2025 – $8,300

HDHP Out-of-pocket Maximum – Family HDHP 2024 – $16,100

2025 – $16,600

HSA Catch-up Contribution Limit 2024 – $1,000

2025 – $1,000

All of the above are for calendar year 2025.
