January is National Mentoring Month and I owe an especially great debt to my dad, Andy Armanino, Sr., who co-founded Armanino LLP, and my brother, Andrew Armanino, who followed as managing partner. They taught me powerful lessons about hard work, strong leadership and creating a positive impact for our clients, our people and our communities. They taught by the power of example, and I still learn from them today. At Armanino, we have formal and informal mentoring opportunities to empower our people to reach their dreams. Our open-door policy, where everyone is encouraged to reach out and connect with anyone across the firm, including me, and structured programs, such as the Executive Access Program (EAP), that partners individuals from under-represented communities with an executive leader to help advance their career, reflect our commitment to helping our people achieve their potential. By giving just a little bit of your time, you can make a lasting positive impact on your people and your communities. #mentoring #teamwork #leadership
Fantastic post Matt. Your dad must be incredibly proud of you and Andy!
Tone at the top 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
Thank you to both of you for the time you have invested in me! You have shaped me in many ways and I am forever grateful! 🧡👊🏽
Matt - Your Dad was my Dad's CPA for his Oakland Import/ Export business many years ago! Small world!
One word to describe the mentorship style of Andy Sr., Andy and Matt: Empowering! Thank you for all the doors you've opened for me and so many others - from San Leandro to New York and in between!
Being a part of the EAP, first as a participant, and now as an advisor, has completely transformed my approach to leadership. It energizes me every day to have a part in growing our next generation of leaders!
What an example of legacy and paying it forward!
Your dad is one of my favorite people who I had the opportunity to meet—a truly good person.
"By giving just a little bit of your time..." A lot of times that makes ALL the difference. Thanks for posting, Matt.

1yMatt Armanino Andrew Armanino as two of my very powerful early career mentors, I want to express my gratitude to both of you for the time and energy you invested in rounding out my EQ skills during my tenure at Armanino. I wouldn't be where I am today without the mentorship provided directly and indirectly by the two of you. I have strived to pay it forward with the folks I interact with on a daily basis. The two of you helped me understand...sharp elbows today may achieve a short term objective, but will always come back to you with interest. A life lesson I have tried to pass on.
