ALS United Connecticut
Our Story
At ALS United Connecticut we provide practical assistance, compassionate care—and, most important, hope to 400 people living with ALS and their families each year.
ALS United CT provides compassionate care and resources
to people living with ALS (pALS) and their caregivers. Our Care Managers collaborate with ALS
Clinics, homecare agencies, and medical professionals to address the physical,
emotional, and financial challenges of living with ALS. In an effort to empower pALS and their
caregivers to live their lives to the fullest, we provide Durable
Medical Equipment, Support Groups, Handicap Accessible Transportation, Care
Assist Grants, Clinic Support and Care Managers as a resource and advocate. Most recently, we have added a Ramp Program
and a Stairlift Program, fully covering the costs of ramps and stair lifts allowing
pALS to remain in their homes safely and comfortably.
Our work doesn't stop in Connecticut, but also across the country and worldwide. Our Advocacy Program is working to
educate and mobilize all member of Congress. We are dedicated to funding research projects to amplify the discovery of treatments, cures, and causes.
