Regional Lead Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer

QUALIFICATIONS


* Chartered Professional Accountant designation with current membership in good standing
* A post-secondary degree in a related discipline such as commerce, management or economics from an accredited educational institution
* A postgraduate degree in a health leadership and or business-related field or other additional education in health leadership and planning are assets
* Knowledge of public sector accounting is an asset.
* Demonstrated comprehensive senior leadership capabilities.
* 7 years of progressive mid-to-senior management experience leading enterprise-wide corporate services and finance functions including forecasting, measurement, and reporting in a large publicly funded enterprise, preferably in health-care, including
* 5 years of experience overseeing financial planning and reporting
* 5 years of experience building and leading a high-performing corporate services and finance team
* 5 years experience with auditors
* Experience monitoring operational goal achievements and performance management
* Previous experience in health-care planning and delivery is an asset
* Province of Manitoba Class 5 Drivers Licence, or equivalent from province of residence, and access to a personal vehicle to provide service within Prairie Mountain Health
* Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), as well as Internet applications and other Information Technology
 

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Regional Lead Corporate Services and CFO reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is accountable for delivery of cost-effective, efficient and reliable health service support functions and finance for Prairie Mountain Health. These include facilities management, housekeeping, food services, security, auxiliary services and all aspects of finance including financial planning, forecasting, and reporting

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Overview:

1. Manage and lead a team that provides enterprise financial and corporate support services. These include facilities management, housekeeping, food services, security, auxiliary services and all aspects of finance including financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.

2. Ensure corporate services and finance assist senior leaders within the organization with timely, cost effective support services and with accurate financial information and advice in support of region’s strategic and operating plan,

3. Report on outcomes in response to Manitoba’s Clinical and Preventative Services plan and the provision of reliable province-wide and multiculturally respectful health services.

4. Overseeing the development of policies and procedures related to Corporate Services and Finance.

5. Instrumental in the planning and development of a sustainable department.

6. Participates in portfolio/facility/regional team structure.

7. Develops and maintains functional relationships with other departments/programs.

8. Plans for continued professional development of staff and self.

9. Promotes positive public relations.

10. Operationalizes Prairie Mountain Health’s Vision, Mission and Values statements.

11. Promotes the quality dimensions of access, safety, effectiveness and satisfaction in the provision of clinical services.
