Physician Panel: Planting the Seeds of Transformation in Primary Care banner

Event Description

Big changes start small. Let’s plant the seeds for a healthier future together!

Primary care is evolving, and value-based care is at the heart of this transformation. By focusing on prevention, building strong patient relationships, and improving health outcomes, we’re reshaping how care is delivered to the communities that need it most.

Join our panel of expert physicians for a LIVE virtual event as they share how ChenMed is sowing the seeds of change in primary care. Learn how our unique approach to value-based care is helping patients live longer, healthier lives out of the hospital.

About the Speakers:

Dr. Amelia St. Ange: Dr. St. Ange fell in love with the healthcare profession while accompanying her grandmother on her community health center visits. “I quickly developed an interest to be in healthcare to provide equitable access to seniors,” she explains. She believes in active listening and shared decision-making. “I am a huge advocate of treating patients the way I would want my family to be treated; therefore, getting to know my patients is ideal in helping them navigate access to equitable healthcare,” she explains. She is board certified in Internal medicine and regularly engages with scientific journal articles to stay up to date with the latest advancements in medicine.

Dr. Jennifer Casey: Dr. Casey’s love for science and people started when she was a teenager—and it has only grown during her career as a board-certified family medicine physician and healthcare leader. “My brightest days come from being with and taking care of others, especially those in need,” she says. “Having time to listen to seniors, appreciate their histories, and advocate for their health are favorite parts of my day.” In addition, Dr. Casey considers it an honor to work alongside other committed healthcare workers.

Dr. Jose Romeu Torres: Dr. Romeu Torres has always wanted to be a physician and says that his patients are his favorite part of his profession. “Helping them and seeing them improve right in front of you is the most rewarding aspect of my job,” he says. Communication and availability are key in his practice. “I try to impact their lives by giving them the best healthcare I can offer and also be listening to them,” he explains. He adds, “The senior population is often forgotten or misunderstood, but they offer a well of knowledge and wisdom.”
