Step up for Seniors: Join our Walk of Ages

Get out your walking shoes! Our annual Walk of Ages fundraiser is set for Sunday, June 8 from 10 am to 12 noon at Mercer Stadium & Track in New Westminster. Join us in raising critical funds to prevent seniors in our community from experiencing homelessness.

Dine and donate local: A community dinner for a cause

New West councillor Ruby Campbell is hosting a fundraising dinner for SSSBC on Saturday, May 3. Join us for a delicious buffet dinner at one of New Westminster’s newest restaurants, Dehl’s Gourmet (906 Quayside Drive). Enjoy West African cuisine with all proceeds donated to SSSBC.

Campaign shines light on at-risk seniors

As a co-winner of the Humanitarian Award from the BC Association of Broadcasters, Seniors Services Society of BC has launched its first advertising campaign with donated media valued at $1 million dollars.

A new home for an evicted vet

SSSBC staff talk regularly with seniors who are under threat of eviction or who are unable to afford their rent.


Today we profile Gary, an 80-year-old vet who ran into trouble with his landlord. Through our work, we were able to find Gary a new home and provide him with help to manage his finances.
