Joint paper: Urgent call for clarity on clinical strategy discussions
Brussels, 27 February 2025 – MedTech Europe, AESGP, MedTech & Pharma Platform and COCIR would like to express their concerns that the recently updated MDCG 2019-6: Requirements relating to notified bodies revision 5, while providing further framework for structured dialogue, has not addressed the ongoing absence of clinical strategy discussion in the pre-submission space. As a consequence, the gap in clinical evidence expectations will persist – with serious consequences for our industry and for the continuity of devices. Read more.

EU Industry Calls For Earlier And Harmonized Adoption Of Electronic Product Information
Electronic product information should be “fully operational” within four years after the entry into force of the revised EU pharma legislation and should precede the phasing out of paper leaflets, proposes the Inter-Association Taskforce (IATF) on ePI. Once the new system is up and running, ePI should be implemented across the EU in a harmonized way, with all EU member states adopting the same standard, it says. Read More.
