OneAmerica Financial® caregiver study campaign wins top

honors for thought leadership

INDIANAPOLIS, May 6, 2025

The OneAmerica Financial® Leading Tomorrow: 2024 Caregiver Campaign has recently been named thought leadership campaign of the year, taking home a Gold Stevie® award in the business products category from the 2025 American Business Awards (ABA). The campaign brought to life the OneAmerica Financial Leading Tomorrow: 2024 Caregiver Study, conducted in conjunction with Hanover Research, which explored the challenges facing today’s informal caregivers.

As a sampling of insights from the study, 56% of informal caregivers reported feeling frustrated, 51% struggled to balance caregiving with other responsibilities, and 47% said they experienced burnout. Through its award-winning campaign OneAmerica Financial highlighted these insights and shed light on the important and sometimes overlooked needs of caregivers. These are all dynamics of caregiving that the new Asset Care 2024 product from the companies of OneAmerica Financial addresses in unique ways, including through the new Caregiver Consultant benefit.

The Stevie® Awards are the organizers of the world's premier business awards programs, recognizing Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie® winners for the 23rd American Business Awards® in a wide range of categories, honoring achievement in every aspect of work life. More than 3,600 nominations were considered in the judging process this year by more than 250 professionals worldwide, whose average scores determined the winners.

“This recognition reinforces our commitment to equipping advisors with insights that go beyond market-leading, long-term care products — helping them understand the deeply personal needs of individuals, caregivers and families navigating long-term care decisions,” said Mark Scalercio, senior vice president and head of distribution for individual life and financial services at OneAmerica Financial. “By elevating the voices of caregivers through this study, we’re helping advisors connect more meaningfully with the people they serve.”

At OneAmerica Financial, our Leading Tomorrow research and insights program is one of the ways we stay connected to what matters most to our customers — so we can help them move through life with more certainty and confidence,” said Jason Hoyle, vice president distribution channel marketing for OneAmerica Financial. “This recognition affirms the impact of that work and underscores our commitment to supporting and sharing the experiences of caregivers and families.”

One of the judges for the category remarked, “The OneAmerica Caregiver Study campaign effectively demonstrates a well-executed thought leadership initiative with a clear societal impact. The study addresses a pressing issue — informal caregiving — by providing data-driven insights and actionable solutions, positioning OneAmerica as a leader in this space.”
