I consider this piece to be one of the most important contributions I have made so far to thought leadership in the field of compliance. Supply chain transparency and accountability are issues that are dominating the global regulatory landscape, largely highlighting the need to end our reliance on coerced or forced labor practices and other human rights abuses once and for all. CS3D may be stymied for now, but we can expect other global efforts that follow roughly the same model. It is high time we gave real thought to how we comply with these emerging expectations.
