At CES 2025, Gigabyte announced the launch of its Intel B860 and AMD B850 series motherboards, designed to optimise the performance of Intel Core Ultra and AMD Ryzen processors. The motherboards integrate AI-enhanced technologies to cater to gaming and PC-building needs with improved thermal designs and advanced memory capabilities.
The new Gigabyte B800 series motherboards feature an all-digital power design and advanced thermal solutions. The Intel B860 models support DDR5 memory speeds of up to 9466 MT/s, while AMD B850 models reach up to 8600 MT/s, leveraging the company's proprietary AI suite, D5 Bionics Corsa. This suite includes tools like AI SNATCH, which enhances DDR5 performance and AI-driven PCB Design, aimed at reducing signal reflection.
The B800 series also includes HyperTune BIOS for optimising memory reference codes and the X3D Turbo mode tailored for AMD Ryzen 9000 X3D processors. The motherboards prioritise user convenience with features such as PCIe EZ-Latch Plus and M.2 EZ-Latch Click for simplified installations, along with WIFI EZ-PLUG for streamlined connectivity.
Gigabyte has extended its product range to suit different consumer preferences. While the AORUS PRO, ELITE, GAMING(X) and EAGLE models target mainstream gamers, the ICE series caters to users seeking a white aesthetic, featuring white PCBs and slots.
Gigabyte's dominance in the motherboard market was previously evident with the X870 series, recognised for its support of AMD Ryzen 5 7000 and 9000 series X3D processors. The B800 series builds on this foundation, incorporating high-end components and AI-driven features for enhanced functionality.
For those seeking customisable AI configurations, the B850 AI TOP model supports Gigabyte’s AI TOP utility for local AI fine-tuning. The series also introduces a unique heatsink design that quadruples the cooling surface area, improving heat dissipation efficiency. Gigabyte's B800 series motherboards are showcased at the CES 2025 event.
