NR2-FC-G02-Z and NR2-FC-G06-Z are the new free-cooling chiller ranges with scroll compressors, RC branded, designed to meet the requirements of medium and large data centers. The chillers are available with both R454B refrigerant (G06 family) and R410A (G02 family), in four different versions: K with basic efficiency, A with high efficiency, SL-K super low-noise, with basic efficiency and SL-A: super low-noise high efficiency. All models are available in Free Cooling configuration as standard, while the NG (No Glycol) version may be required to meet the needs of applications where glycol cannot be used.
Thanks to the optimized Free-Cooling coils, NR2-FC-Z optimizes the use of free-cooling, always ensuring reliable and efficient mechanical cooling of compressors where necessary. With a water setpoint of 20°C, the total free-cooling condition is possible as early as an outdoor air temperature of 12°C. Version A also offers the best Free-Cooling capability available on the market today, while version K provides the best compromise between Free cooling, performance, and compactness.
Higher operating water temperatures increase free-cooling potential and higher ΔT dramatically reduces the energy consumption of the pumps. NR2-FC-Z has been designed to push these savings to the maximum: it can work up to 24°C of outlet water temperature and with a ΔT up to 15 K. In addition, the compressors are optimized for low pressure ratios, making the most of hybrid mode, where both free-cooling and mechanical cooling are required.
To best meet the needs of Critical Missions applications NR2-FC-Z is fully equipped, already in the standard configuration, which includes: Fast Restart, to restore 100% of the cooling capacity in just 72", two-level alarm management, automatic circuit breakers, voltage presence relay, phase sequence relay + of over/under voltage monitoring, numbered wiring on electrical board, compressor operation signal, lights on electrical board and power socket, dual relief valves with switch and compressor suction and discharge valves. To meet even the most stringent requirements, specific options are also available, including the energy meter, the thermal energy meter, the LAN (Multi Manager) and optimization of the entire system thanks to HPC (Hydronic Plant Connect) and dual power supply with ATS.
