ATLANTA, GA, June 3, 2025 — Sovos, the always-on compliance company, today announced that it has been updated its long-standing InvoiceNow Access Point accreditation in Singapore by achieving C5 accreditation.
Following their October 2024 certification as a PEPPOL service provider in Singapore, the C5 accreditation expands Sovos’ capabilities under the InvoiceNow e-invoicing framework and reinforces their commitment to supporting businesses’ compliance needs across APAC.
This certification, issued by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), confirms that Sovos is now fully authorized to operate under the “fifth corner” model, enabling direct invoice data transmission to IRAS, in line with the InvoiceNow mandates for GST-registered businesses.
Singapore, the IMDA is currently implementing a phased adoption of InvoiceNow, the national e-invoicing framework based on the PEPPOL network. The implementation timeline is as follows:
- 1 May 2025 – Voluntary early adoption begins (soft launch)
- 1 November 2025 – Applies to newly incorporated companies registering voluntarily for GST
- 1 April 2026 – Mandatory for all new voluntary GST registrants
While an implementation timeline for all businesses has not yet been shared, further updates are anticipated, and Sovos expects Singapore to roll-out mandatory B2B e-invoicing in phases over the next few years.
Sovos is a respected member of PEPPOL and similar organizations such as its US counterpart, the DBNA. Sovos is one of the leaders in the global exchange network association (GENA – currently acting in the role of vice-chair) driving the convergence of the GENA B2B network and PEPPOL, thus laying the foundation for a global ‘superhighway’ for interoperable B2B e-invoices and other data.
