Amy Friesen

As a best-selling author and expert in the senior living industry, Amy Friesen has worked with seniors and their families throughout the world. Amy founded Tea & Toast in 2014 to help seniors and their families gain access to better choices and reduce the stress and feeling of being overwhelmed. As Amy saw the needs expand throughout Canada, she formed Eldercare Planners of Canada. Canada's only national network of like-minded Eldercare Planners, dedicated to assisting families throughout their Eldercare Journey. Eldercare Planners of Canada is a dedicated group of specialists who provide comprehensive support and resources for seniors and their families, as well as professionals. Richard Wylie

Vice President - Investment Strategy

Richard is Vice President, Investment Strategy at Assante Wealth Management and oversees Assante’s investment product shelf. He chairs Assante’s Investment Committee and performs due diligence on new product offerings. He acts as Assante’s liaison with product issuers, promoters and underwriters. He also co-ordinates Specialty Investment transactions with both Compliance and Assante’s trading desk. Richard also publishes regular market and economic commentary for advisors. Prior to joining Assante in 2000, Richard was the trading floor economist and fixed income analyst at TD Securities. During his six years at TD Securities, he specialized in the areas of economic analysis of the U.S. and Canadian Economies, corporate and government debt, and studies of both the U.S. Federal Reserve and the Bank of Canada. Prior to his tenure at TD Securities, Richard spent five years trading both Foreign Exchange and Money Market securities for Ontario Hydro. Richard has been a CFA charter holder since 1994. He received both his B.A. and M.A. in economics from the University of Waterloo.
