Celebrate Scottish Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Schools Week with Jennifer Ehehalt, Sr. Regional Manager at Common Sense Education, as she showcases how AI literacy will impact our ability to consume, create and participate in digital spaces in an ethical manner. She’ll share brand new lessons that equip teachers with the lessons they need to practice digital citizenship given the new AI world they are facing.

In this session, we will demonstrate a collection of quick lessons (20 minutes or less!) that provide an introduction to AI, orient AI to our learners, and help address its’ social and ethical impacts. Attendees of this digilearn.scot session will leave with practical resources for digital citizenship, lesson plans, and strategies to mitigate the potential harms of generative AI in school communities. Through these lessons, learners will:

1. Understand what AI is and how it works

2. Consider some of its potential benefits and risks

3. Think critically about how we can be responsible and ethical users of AI.
