This Code has been written for the growing use and application of PVC-U windows and doorsets in to new buildings. It is an essential good practice guide for use by System Designers, Installers and On-site Operatives alike detailing Design Requirements, Site Practice, Location, Fixing and Sealing, Glazing and Finishing Off.

355/2 Infill Panels for Doors and Windows (2015)     

This product performance standard has been published as a Draft for Development, to allow suppliers and their customers to review and agree performance levels based on the tests included in the standard for use as acceptance criteria for specific applications. 2nd July 2015

 

345/2 Materials for Gaskets and Weatherstrips for Windows, Doors, Conservatories (2004) 

It is intended to complement BS EN 12365 by giving material requirements to enable agreement between the supplier and user (see BS EN 12365-1 clauses 5.3, 5.4 and 5.5) and to give guidance on the grades contained within that standard. It applies to gaskets, co-extruded glazing beads, weatherstrips, cellular adhesive glazing tapes, sheathed cellular products, pile products and those incorporating fusion welded or moulded corner joints or any other appropriate method of jointing used in windows, doors, conservatories and curtain walling.

323/1 Code of Practice for the Reinforcement of PVC-U Windows and Doors (1991)

The purpose of the Code is to state the requirements and recommendations for reinforcement of PVC-U windows and doors, both in new building work and for replacement products. It is intended to provide sufficient information to help both Specifiers and Fabricators to choose the correct levels of reinforcements, without costly over-specification, and to harmonise the approach throughout the industry towards reinforcement. This publication dates from 1991 and contains some out of date references which readers should check. System suppliers will give their recommendations for individual systems. This publication is retained for reference purposes only.

332/2 Guidelines for Welding of PVC-U Profiles for Windows and Doors (2003)

Welding is a convenient, long established method for joining PVC-U profiles. It is an integral part of the process used in the manufacture of PVC-U windows and doors.The purpose of these guidelines is to state the requirements and recommendations to be met in order to obtain satisfactory welds. It is intended to be used as a practical guide by fabricators. Compliance with these guidelines does not of itself confer immunity from legal obligations, and so this document cannot be used in legal disputes.Health and safety requirements are not included in this document. Advice on such requirements should be obtained from a recognised, qualified source.
