Ticket from Sells and Gray Circus, hosted on August 2, 1963 at York Road and Wyndham - Sponsored by McCrae Legion. Or possibly from the Sells and Gray 3 Ring Circus, hosted on August 12, 1964, at York Road and Wyndham - Sponsored by Canadian Legion. The ticket has two parts. The first part, on the left side is longer, and the second part which is shorter and the writing goes in the opposite direction. The two parts are connected by a perforated edge. The first part is white background, with a red line border. At the top, inside the border, is the title printed in a black font that says "SELLS AND GRAY 3 RING". Below the font is boxed, with a red outline, and the background white, which says "CIRCUS". At the bottom is a red banner with two vine designs at either end. Inside the banner is boxed lettering with the background white that says "COMPLIMENTARY". The second part of the ticket has a white trim with the center as a red box. Inside the red box there is a white area with title "RESERVED SEAT" in black font "CHECK" in red font, below, and "To Be Exchanged At Door" in black font, at the bottom of the white area. In the red box area at the base, in black font, says "SELLS AND GRAY CIRCUS". The back of the ticket is blank except for content hand-written in pencil, on the larger half of the ticket, near the perforated edge. It says "1963 or 1964". |
