Must play game
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Greetings fellow Dragonball fans. This is by far one of the BEST Dragonball games I have played. The gameplay is Soo smooth and eleglant. Just having the opportunity to play all the fierce battles I saw in the anime as a child just brought tears to me.

A great game!
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a fun game! I thought this would just be another DBZ title and initially did not like the camera controls but once you start being able to fly through the levels, everything was great! Controls are a little slow to respond once in awhile but doesn't detract much from enjoying the game. Sometimes though, I wish the story would progress a little bit faster and/or there wasn't so much grinding to go through. A nice positive point: the game has some DLC that's keeping it nicely relevant so far, including parts of DB Super into it. I haven't had the chance to look too deeply into it yet but it's nice that support is still ongoing.

This is to go even further beyond!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.DBZ Kakarot (Nintendo Switch): I've played numerous DBZ games in the past, some of my favorites being the Legacy of Goku ones in the GBA. I really liked how they would keep to the story and keep the player engaged throuoghout the game without warping the story. DBZ Kakarot does this and more, what a great game, it really sticks to the source material from the Raditz battle all the way to the end of the Buu saga. Its far from perfect, they were really detailed in the first couple of chapters all the way until the Android saga, where they started using the Narrator a lot more to skip sections of the story and the pace does get a lot faster. While Goku is the main character, just like in the story when you look back, for the most part he was out in someway or another. After Raditz - goku dies then revives for the freezer fight, but then disapears to Yardrat. Then comes back for androids, but then gets the heart disease, then fights cell after recuperating from the heart disease, but then sacrifices himself to save the world from cell. Then comes back for Buu. The Switch version has the DLC for the SSG and SSB transformation along with a sotry that sort of resembles the Resurrection F movie. I experience no crashes or lag until finishing the Buu sage (main game), once the post game came through, there were missions that were crashing like crazy, good thing there is auto save. All in all, TLDR, what a great game, definately recommend. I had a blast, its a nice chunk of gameplay and the same great story that i grew up with.

Experience DBZ in a new angle
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Are you obsessed with Dragon Ball Z? Ever wanted to just sightsee throughout various locations in the world of Dragon Ball Z? Then this game is right up your alley. Seriously. There are explorable locations like West City and the countryside hills of East District where Goku resides. Smaller locations like Kami's lookout and Capsule Corp HQ are in the game too. Some landmarks like Grandpa Gohan's home are in as well, and depending on who you're controlling, they will have location based dialogue. This game provides a great opportunity to see the world of DBZ in a different angle, especially since you can interact with NPCs in towns and villages who react to what is going on in the story most times. There are sidequests that give more screentime to sided out characters like Yamcha. Sure the gameplay is rather simplistic and not nearly as complex as Dragon Ball Fighterz or as customizable as Xenoverse 2, It's also very grindy. But the experience is honestly like no other Dragon Ball Z game out there right now. The closest I can compare Kakarot to is Legacy of Goku 2 and Buu's Fury. There are a lot of gameplay details I'm leaving out here, but the main takeaway from this review is that this game does the most worldbuilding for Dragon Ball Z than any other game as of now. It's often times very rough around the edges, but it's got a lot of heart put into it, at least in my opinion.
