Share Your Input: Albemarle County Energy Burden Study
Beginning in the summer of 2024, The Community Climate Collaborative’s Policy Team kicked off ambitious energy burden studies in Richmond and Albemarle County. Energy burden refers to the percentage of one’s income spent on home energy costs, such as gas and electricity. The study will analyze neighborhood-level data to understand energy burden disparities across the city and create an interactive map for the public to use.

To enhance this study, C3 is seeking insights directly from Albemarle County residents. We invite you to share your experiences with high energy costs and the challenges of energy affordability by completing this quick survey. Your input is invaluable, as we believe that the most impactful part of any study comes from hearing the voices of those directly affected.
