Documentary Development Investment Fund

Applications close Monday, 3 June 2024 at 5:00pm AWST.

Documentary Development Investment Funding invests in the development of documentary and factual programming in order to support and grow a sustainable Western Australian screen industry.

Matched Development Investment Fund

Matched Development Investment funding is designed to support Western Australian companies or individuals that have secured project development funding from a nationally or internationally recognised broadcaster or distributor.

The applicant must provide a suitable letter of commitment from the broadcaster or distributor and an appropriate development plan and budget.

Emergency Development Investment Fund

Emergency Development Investment funding is designed to support Western Australian companies or individuals that have entered into the active development of a project with market attachment and have a bona fide time critical deadline.

Scripted Concept Development Fund

Applications are now closed.

The Screenwest Scripted Concept Development Fund supports Western Australian writers and/or producers to develop early-stage ideas and get their projects ‘market ready’ by preparing materials that can be used to secure marketplace development funds.

The fund supports the development of long-form scripted content for all screen-based delivery platforms and is designed to identify practitioners with a strong creative voice, a distinctive vision, a clearly articulated development plan, and a pathway to audience.

Scripted Project Development Fund

Applications are now closed.

The Screenwest Scripted Project Development Fund provides development investment funding to Western Australian writers and/or producers creating long-form scripted content, for all screen-based delivery platforms (excluding online).

This fund aims to accelerate quality, distinctive projects with existing well-developed pitch documents, episode outlines, pilot episodes, series bibles, treatments and/or draft screenplays and which can demonstrate a strong pathway to audience and/or attract further investment.
