- June 8: United Nations World Oceans Day
Solutions to beat plastic pollution
Every year, Canadian Environment Week coincides with World Environment Day on June 5, led by the United Nations Environment Programme. This year, the focus is on ending plastic pollution. Canadian Environment Week expands upon this theme, celebrating all of the actions that we are taking, at home and globally, to achieve a greener future and beat plastic pollution.
It is a global effort to take care of our shared planet. You can take action every day, even from home, by participating in the #BeatPlasticPollution Challenge.
