Welcome! Following a positive response during a #snaprt Twitter Chat, SNAP will be soliciting and publishing SAA Annual Meeting 2014 session reports on our blog. If you will be attending the meeting, please consider volunteering to write a recap so your colleagues can benefit from your experience!
2
Sign-ups are open to all of our members: students, new and early career professionals, and experienced archivists interested in newer professionals and their concerns.

4
Once you sign up, please commit to attending the session and providing a recap. If you become unable to attend, please delete your name from the sign-up at least 24 hours in advance.

We have selected a number of sessions that we feel are of particular interest to SNAPpers. These are identified in the sign-up sheet with a "PRIORITY" tag. If you sign up for and submit a recap for one of these sessions, we guarantee it will be published as long as it meets the guidelines (below). Sessions recaps are first come, first serve. If someone has already signed up for a session you're interested in covering, we encourage you to reach out to that person for collaboration.
7
Please submit recaps for priority sessions by August 24 to samantharwinn@gmail.com
8
9
We will also accept submissions for non-priority sessions, depending on how relevant the topic is to students and new archivists.
10
Please submit recaps for non-priority sessions by September 1 to samantharwinn@gmail.com

Guidelines
16
- Session reports should be 500-1500 words.
17
- Reports must be on-topic.
18
- Be respectful of the topic and panelists. Critical analysis is welcome, but ad hominem attacks are not.
19
- Recaps of panels should cover all speakers, but do not have to do so in equal depth. Lightning session or pecha kucha recaps should cover the overall topic and as many individual speakers as the recapper chooses.
20
- SNAP reserves the right to edit posts for length, spelling/grammar, and clarity.

22
Other information
23
- If the presenters provide relevant websites or articles, consider linking to them in your recap.
24
- You may recap in pairs or groups. We recommend this for lightning sessions in particular.
25
- If you do not wish to enter contact information here, please leave your name and send an e-mail to samantharwinn@gmail.com
