The Nickel
It's much more fun to eat at a bar than drink in a restaurant.
Debuting in July 2014, The Nickel will open in the heart of Denver's thriving Theatre District in a renovated ground floor of the iconic Hotel Teatro. A chef-driven culinary concept, the menu will draw inspiration from its Rocky Mountain heritage, incorporating locally sourced ingredients into rustic, stripped-down Colorado fare. The décor of the space will echo the menu, featuring textiles sourced from the Rocky Mountain region; custom-made furnishings and industrial materials with a simplistic, masculine feel.

The Study

Casually elegant, like a vintage suitcase, the atmosphere is relaxed and easy while maintaining an air of classic sophistication. Soft upholstered furnishings invite patrons to nestle in for a leisurely experience with their family, friends, or colleagues; whether enjoying a delicious meal or celebratory cocktails, The Study welcomes guests to linger in its comfortable surroundings.
Textural linens, patina’d leather, and striped wools, combined with nailhead accents, reference Colorado traditional aesthetic while the curved wingback chairs around the perimeter add feminine balance. Large chandeliers suspended from the tall coffered ceiling provide intimacy without reducing the grand scale of the space; mounted onto the full height library bookshelf, a series of articulated wall sconces add accent lighting to the curated objects on display.
For a quaint breakfast or an impromptu Happy Hour, everyone will find the vibe at The Study enjoyable and effortless. Come enjoy yourself, and feel at home.

Proudly pouring Method Roasters in The Study
We’re thrilled to announce Denver-based, small-batch specialists Method Roasters are the newest edition to our growing culinary program. Their bold creations will be the focal point of our new coffee bar, located in The Study, and served throughout the hotel, both in-room as well as in The Nickel when it opens later this month.
The craft-coffee group shares a similar ethos with Hotel Teatro, focusing on locally-sourced ingredients and supporting the community. What began with three friends home-roasting coffee while attending college at The University of Colorado has grown into a leading boutique coffee vendor in the region, and we’re thrilled to find a partner who believes the quality of the raw coffee is as important as the final cup that is produced.
The Study starts serving at 6:30am, the perfect gathering spot for hotel guests or Denver locals.
