Giants’ Tim Lincecum asks $4 million for Paradise Valley, Ariz., home

San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum has listed his home, which includes an indoor sports court with a retractable batting cage, in Paradise Valley, Ariz., for sale at just shy of $4 million.

The contemporary home, found near the Giants’ spring training facility in Scottsdale, occupies a raised lot on nearly three acres in Paradise Valley Estates with a lagoon-style pool, two waterfalls, a Jacuzzi and an elevated sun deck with an outdoor kitchen.

Within the 11,028 square feet of living space are an elevator, a living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room, a chef’s kitchen, a game room, an office, a wine room, four bedrooms and five full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a sitting area, a wet bar and modern fireplace.

The indoor sports area, in addition to the basketball court and retractable batting cage, features booth-style seating and adjoins a movie theater with stadium seating and a wet bar.

Lincecum, 30, has notched two Cy Young Awards and a pair of World Series titles in eight seasons with the Giants. He signed a two-year, $35-million contract extension with the team in October.

Records show that the right-hander paid $3.4 million for the home in May 2012. The property was previously owned by former Pittsburgh Pirates first baseman Kevin Young. Stacey Beck of HomeSmart is the listing agent.
