About three months after it was first expected to open on E. Main StreetGoldberg’s Famous Bagels should open its doors next week, the franchise’s owner said.

Mark Goldberg, the franchise owner, said at his Mattituck location — opening up tomorrow — that he’s just waiting on final inspection for the Riverhead location to open up shop.

“It’s good,” he said Wednesday afternoon from inside his new Mattituck eatery, which is located near Waldbaum’s and Subway. “It’s a busy shopping center with a nice demographic.”

Goldberg’s Riverhead locale is stepping into the former Woolworth’s building on E. Main Street.

Mr. Goldberg said his Mattituck store, which occupies the space formerly occupied by North Fork Bagel Co., features high-top tables and a new oven, flooring and refrigerated cases.

Aside from its fresh bagels, the menu features an array of breakfast sandwiches, omelets, salads, wraps and specialty sandwiches.

The Mattituck shop will be Goldberg’s Famous Bagels’ first store to open on the North Fork.

In addition to its soon-to-open Mattituck and Riverhead locations, Goldberg’s Famous Bagels has 11 stores in New Jersey, as well as one store each in Southampton, East Hampton and Montauk. A Bridgehampton store is also in the works, Mr. Goldberg said earlier this year.

Starting Thursday, Goldberg’s Famous Bagels in Mattituck will be open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Breakfast will be served every day until 2 p.m.
