From parades and food to concerts and fireworks, Pioneer Day celebrations will take place all over Utah this week. Here's a sampling of what's going on.

SALT LAKE COUNTY

Youth Parade

The annual youth parade, one of the largest in the country, kicks off the Days of '47 events.

Where • Parade starts at 600 East and 500 South. It travels west on 500 South to the City County Building and Washington Square.

Brother Brigham's Ball

The fifth annual event will be reminiscent of the dances LDS Church President Brigham Young held at his farm home, which has been moved to This Is the Place Heritage Park from its original site in Sugar House.

Days of '47 Rodeo

Cowboy roping and riding continue for five nights.

Sunrise service

The Pioneer Chapter of the Sons of Utah Pioneers will hold a sunrise service honoring Utah's pioneers. The program features several hundred voices in combined choirs from around the valley.

Marathon and 10K run

The Deseret News Classic is a USATF-sanctioned race and a Boston Marathon qualifier with a total 3,200-foot elevation drop.

Days of '47 Parade

One of the largest and oldest parades in the United States starts at 9 a.m. at the corner of South Temple and State Street. It runs east to 200 East, turns south to 900 South, then turns east to Liberty Park at 600 East.

Native American Celebration

After the Pioneer Day Parade, Liberty Park will host the 20th annual Native American Celebration. The event includes drumming, dancing, beadwork, Navajo and Zuni jewelry, Navajo tacos and mutton stew.

Pie & Beer Day fundraiser

On Pioneer Day, sample pie from some of Salt Lake City's best bakeries — Tulie Bakery, Eva Boulangerie, Cafe Trio — and beer from Beer Bar. The event is a fundraiser for KRCL.

Tickets • $15 pie pass includes samples of six pies; beer samples are $1 each

Fireworks at Liberty Park

Salt Lake City's biggest fireworks show.

Butlerville Days

The Cottonwood Heights community's annual celebration includes a 5K race, parade, inflatables, face painting, bike parade, food, classic car show, pie-eating contest, mechanical bull rides, a juggling show and free watermelon. Fireworks start at 9:45 p.m.

West Jordan

Games, competitions, a Dutch oven cook-off, pony rides, petting zoo and children's activities take place this week in West Jordan. The Osmond Youth Pioneer Pageant will be presented each evening.

Pioneer Day Celebration at Trolley Square

Trolley Square has the best seat in the house to celebrate Pioneer Day on the 24th of July! Bountiful Handcart Days

This annual celebration includes historic tours as well as games, food and entertainment in the city park. The July 23 parade begins at 6 p.m. Fireworks follow at 9:45 p.m. at Mueller Park Junior High.

Ride the waves and help raise money for the Live Your Dream Scholarship, which helps single mothers pay for college.

Spanish Fork Fiesta Days

The Pioneer Days celebration kicks off Sunday, July 20, with an old-time gospel music revival and continues throughout the week with an ice cream social, dance, fun run/walk, volleyball tournament, car show, parade and carnival with live music.

Fairview
