Ancelotti prepared to see Real Madrid sell Hazard

Carlo Ancelotti is eager to see Real Madrid management trim his squad.

ABC via Foot Mercato says Real coach Ancelotti wants a squad of 23 players - no more - and is in agreement with president Florentino Perez about cutting numbers.

Ancelotti will be happy to see the likes of Luka Jovic, Jesus Vallejo, Dani Ceballos, Alvaro Odriozola and Martin Ødegaard all sold, along with Gareth Bale.

And also being made available is Eden Hazard - with the approval of Ancelotti.

The pair both enjoyed success with Chelsea, though Hazard joined the Blues a year after Ancelotti's dismissal. And the Italian is now ready to see Hazard sold as he looks to trim his squad.

Real Madrid signed Hazard from Chelsea in 2019 for €120m and the Belgium captain has struggled with injury ever since. Indeed, Hazard's impact for Belgium at this summer's Euro 2020 was limited due to injury.

Last season with Real Madrid, the 30 year-old midfielder managed just 21 appearances, scoring four goals and producing one assist.
