13 Things UD Blue Hens Must Do At The Delaware State Fair

Where does one find a real live photogenic Blue Hen, you ask? In the Poultry Building, of course.

UD Experts will be on hand to answer even your wildest questions about gardening, bugs, food safety and more in the Commodities Building.

Inside the Delaware Building, you'll find UD admissions reps and plenty of Blue and Gold.

On July 22, children 17 and under get in for free on Kids' Day. Kids will love the Dover Building exhibits, with tons of displays ranging from arts & crafts to culinary creations.

The Delaware State Fair always seems to fall on the hottest summer days. Luckily, everyone's favorite ice cream truck, Moo Mobile, will be on hand to keep things cool. There will even be a brand new Centennial flavor unveiled to celebrate 100 years of UD's Cooperative Extension!

Spend an afternoon on Wade Shows Midway. Experience classic state fair fun with a ferris wheel, roller coasters, games and much more.

Or at least watch other people do it during the Pig Kissin' contest on July 24.

Delaware Governor Jack Markell will be visiting the fair on July 24 this year.

The Delaware State Fair brings big names to our small state including Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban and Train, to name a few.

Cooperative Extension will celebrate its centennial anniversary—100 years and counting—in the Grove Picnic Area on Thursday, July 24. The program connects the public with knowledge, research and resources to address youth, family, community and agricultural needs.
