What do one woman, a dog, some Mason jar desserts, and an old truck have in common? They're the foundation of Charleston-based mobile bakery Sweet Lulu's, a venture that baker Karen Moran is trying to fund on IndieGoGo, an international crowdfunding site.

As a frequent beach-goer, Karen had experienced first-hand the difficulty of trying to transport snacks to the beach. With that in mind, one day she decided to package her tasty homemade treats in easy-to-carry Mason jars. Now she wants to take her business one step further by making her operation mobile: She has 10 days left to fund her goal of $20,000 to use for the repair of a vintage pick-up truck and Shasta trailer. Currently, she has raised over $3,500.

If Karen raises enough money to begin her business, a percentage of the profits will be donated to the Gulf Coast Humane Society where she adopted her dog, Lulu. You can learn more about Sweet Lulu's and Karen's story in this video.
