America’s Warrior Partnership as Four Star Alliance Members

Organizations provide recreational therapy for military veterans through golf, motorsports, and community events

AUGUSTA, Ga. – December 3, 2020 – America’s Warrior Partnership (AWP) announced today that On Course Foundation and Operation Motorsport have joined the organization’s Four Star Alliance, a membership program for community organizations that offer adaptive sports, therapeutic recreation, or wellness programs to veterans and their families. The addition of these two new partners brings the total number of Four Star Alliance members to 50, further increasing available organizations providing veterans and their families the recreational therapy services in their community that are vital for recovery and rehabilitation.

As a part of the Four Star Alliance, organizations are recognized as a Program of Excellence and have access to resources for national awareness and development campaigns. Each member agrees to abide by AWP’s Standards of Excellence and is vetted for financial stability, excellent business practices, and willingness to make and take appropriate referrals.

“We are proud to welcome two more members to our Four Star Alliance program,” stated Jim Lorraine, President and CEO of America’s Warrior Partnership. “Both the On Course Foundation and Operation Motorsport provide unique opportunities and activities that enable veterans and their families to stay connected, active, and integrated in their communities.”

On Course Foundation

The On Course Foundation supports the on-going recovery, social inclusion, and development of injured veterans through golf. A driving force behind the organization’s mission is the Golf Skills and Employment Program which incorporates golf instruction, competitive play, golf education, golf industry seminars, the opportunity to socialize with fellow veterans in their community, and the potential to gain meaningful employment in the golf industry.

"We are delighted to join forces with America's Warrior Partnership by becoming a member of their Four Star Alliance," said John Dodds, Executive Director of the On Course Foundation. "We firmly believe that the game of golf can play a key role in the on-going mental and physical recovery of our nation's injured veterans, and we look forward to starting this exciting partnership."

Operation Motorsport

Operation Motorsport's premise is to engage former service members and veterans through motorsports, specifically sports car racing (IMSA, SRO, CTCC), along with virtual engagement through simulated iRacing. Programs are designed to provide therapeutic assistance, enhance quality-of-life, and increase mental health and resiliency by providing atmospheres that help build a sense of team, identity, and purpose.

"All of us at Operation Motorsport are excited to join the Four Star Alliance. Our team consistently seeks new and innovative ways of engaging beneficiaries, and there is so much opportunity as we look to this partnership," expressed Tiffany Lodder, Founder and Executive Director of Operation Motorsport. "We are grateful for the new resources we can look forward to sharing, and for the new avenue of opportunities we will be able to offer America's Warrior Partnership and the Four Star Alliance."
