Surrey RCMP have released a composite sketch in the hopes of finding a suspect in an assault near Clayton Heights Secondary.
Police say that a 16-year-old girl was approached from behind while walking on a pathway behind the school around 2 p.m. Sunday.
The suspect put his arm around the girl’s neck. She screamed, and the man let go, fleeing northbound on foot. Despite extensive searches by officers and a police dog, he was not able to be located.
Police believe the suspect is a white male in his mid-30s, 6 feet tall, with a medium build and dark hair. At the time of the assault, he was wearing a rusty/tan-coloured tank top, black shorts and sunglasses.
RCMP have so far been unable to identify the suspect and are appealing to the public for assistance.
