MEDINA, Ohio -- The smell of alcohol still wafted through the air on a stretch of interstate after an 18-wheeler carrying beer collided with another truck early Friday morning.
The 4 a.m. crash spilled bottles of Thirsty Dog beer across Interstate 71 about 10 miles south of Medina, Lt. Mark Neff of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
The incident closed all southbound lanes for about two hours, but did not affect the morning rush hour traffic.
The cleanup continued into Friday afternoon as workers raked broken glass off the freeway. Cars slowed near the site of the crash, but traffic continued to move at a steady pace.
