Nosegay Flowers

Ordered some centerpieces and a large floral arrangement for a retirement dinner that we were hosting. The staff was very responsive and super helpful from my first point of contact a few months prior to our dinner event. They were able to customize my order with specific requests (yellow roses tied in with blue to match our theme) and sent me a mock-up with a sample display they could arrange!

The flowers were delivered a little earlier than our confirmed time, but it wasn't a problem since the venue was able to accept them and sign. The arrangements were beautiful, fresh, and full. Thanks to the entire staff for a flawless execution for our evening event!

This is a fabulous little flower shop in D.C. I was having a down day and stopped by for flowers to brighten my desk. Sara and staff were so kind in getting me exactly what I needed. The rest of my day flew by because of the bright flowers. By the way, you can get small houseplants, cards, and chocolates here, too. Highly recommended!

Received flowers right after the V-day rush and I swear they gave me remnants of the big day. Let me be clear, this bouquet was not meant to be V-day flowers but for another occasion that followed right after V-day.

The flowers were delivered to my building in the morning and I picked them up a few hours later. The water in the vase reeked as if the flowers had been sitting in it for several days. I couldn't even enjoy the smell of the flowers but the arrangement was nice and the appearance was full.

By the next morning I had to change the water in the vase because the smell was overpowering my apartment. I trimmed some of the stems and as I was going through the arrangement I saw that a number of flowers in the bouquet did not have stems and were basically just heads that had been used to make the arrangement look fuller. Mainly they consisted of white lillies (which I love) and pink rose which I couldn't smell at all... This would explain why.

Also, the cheaper filler flowers were all dying or dead. You have to remove dying or dead flowers from a bouquet asap because they release a gas that speeds up the decay of surrounding flowers. They should never have been put in the bouquet.

Really disappointed with this bouquet which is weird because I've received flowers from this shop before and they were lovely in the past. Perhaps they had a limited inventory because of the Valentine's day rush but still ... These specific flowers were not requested so the florist should have used what looked the nicest and what was in stock instead of cobbling together this ... I don't even know what to call this. Also the arrangement was a reasonable size so I'm sure this cost a pretty penny.

My boss buys everyone flowers from Nosegay, and always manages to give the most unique and colorful bouquets--flowers I cannot name like the green ones that look like delicate pom poms or the ones that look like testicles, but cool. They were recently having a sale on roses, and while roses aren't really my thing I decided to pop in anyway as I had never been myself, just gazed longingly at the flowers others were given.

I told the florist that my favorite flower is a gerber daisy and that I just wanted something small for myself, around 3 flowers. I was honestly kind of expecting those three flowers by themselves, and while that would have been cheery and beautiful, what she pulled together was a gorgeous mix of gerbers and fillers--and a couple of roses!--and it was just perfect, really. I appreciated that she didn't try to up-sell me, that she was kind about my buying myself flowers to brighten my own day. I would highly highly recommend them for any kind of flowers--from an impromtu treatyoself day to weddings--because if they're this over-the-top helpful and amazing with a drop-in, you know they'll go the extra mile for a really important event.

The roses I received were simply stunning! The delivery person was polite and professional as well. Thank you Nosegay for providing some of the best assortments of flowers and gift baskets!

Can't say enough about this florist. Live in NY but needed same day delivery in DC for a special situation. Their options were beautiful and so different . The website was clear and easy to use. The special topper was having the driver call me to confirm address when the house didn't look like it had a unit B. He was so sweet and really made the delivery matter. Would use them again and again. Especially if my daughter ends up moving to DC

Nosegay has been the best flower shop I've ever dealt with. Their designers and staff are a pleasure to deal with. Because they specialize in having a wide variety of flowers, I was able to find them during a desperate search for my girlfriend's flowers. I have used Nosegay ever since, and she's been happy, so obviously I've been happy!

Smooth, easy transaction and very pleasant staff. I am in Florida and had flowers delivered to a friend in a DC hotel. The time between placing my order online and the flowers being delivered was maybe two hours max. They didn't have some of the flowers that were pictured in the arrangement I saw online, but they called me very promptly and put together a beautiful arrangement in the same spirit of the one I had selected. The recipient was very pleased and so was I. Thank you! I have family in the DC area and will definitely use Nosegay again.

This is my first Yelp review of a florist. Since I am not a flower person, I have never really paid attention about choosing a good florist. I thought they were all the same. Totally wrong!
Last week I had the needs to send flowers to someone for business with a rather limited budget. I walked over to the one at L and 17th and went inside the store. They were playing WTOP radio and no one came out. They did not really have nice flower displays either. I did not feel right about using such store for this important occasion. So I left the store, turned on my Yelp app, searched nearby florists and I found Nosegay with average of 4.5 stars from forty some reviews, much better ratings and reviews than the one I went in few seconds ago.
When I got to Nosegay after walking a few more blocks in the heat, a lovely young lady came out from the back and welcomed me. What a contrast! I told her I came here seeing good reviews on Yelp, and gave her my limited budget and explained the purpose or occasion. Although (I found out later in their website) my budget was a little low for the flower shop, The staff, Alisa did not make any difficult face and dealt with my request very professionally and smoothly.
I did not get to see the flowers, but my business associate emailed me the next day and said, "The flowers are absolutely beautiful!"
So, that's my story and I will definitely go back to Nosegay, and now that I am more interested in flowers, I may become a flower person in the future too!
