WATCH: Health officials have warned against travel to parts of western Africa, where the deadliest known outbreak of Ebola has killed more than 700 people. Jennifer Tryon reports.
OTTAWA – Canada’s public health agency has issued a travel health notice about the Ebola outbreak in three African countries.
But it is not following the United States in warning citizens not to travel to Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone – at least not yet.
The notice from the Public Health Agency of Canada notes that dozens of cases of Ebola virus infection have been reported in those countries.

And it adds that Nigeria’s ministry of health has reported its first death due to the virus.
But it adds that the World Health Organization does not recommend that any travel or trade restrictions be applied to the African countries in relation to the outbreak.

U.S. health officials are warning Americans not to travel to countries hit by the outbreak, which has killed more than 700 people this year.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the risk of the deadly disease coming to the United States remains small.
The last time the federal agency issued such a travel warning was in 2003 because of a SARS outbreak in Asia.
