Philadelphia Auto Show
Put it in drive at the 122nd Philadelphia Auto Show!
The annual can’t-miss winter event — which dates back to 1902 — at the Pennsylvania Convention Center features tons of cool cars on display (with most major vehicle manufacturers represented), test-drive opportunities (both outside and inside the venue), and more.
This year, the Philadelphia Auto Show takes place from January 13 to 21, 2024.
Guests of the Philadelphia Auto Show can get an early peek at the newest vehicle models that will soon be at dealerships around the region, along with must-see-to-believe concept, classic, luxury and exotic cars.

The theme for 2024 is “Fueling Philly,” and attendees have the opportunity to view more than 700 vehicles from over 20 brands on display, from Fords and Chevys to Kias and Volkswagens to Maseratis and Bentleys — and visitors are invited to hop inside most of them.
The show takes place in the Pennsylvania Convention Center’s Halls A thru E as well as the Grand Hall, with new product displays hosted by most of today’s top vehicle manufacturers on the Main Floor.
Things to See and Do
Aside from new vehicle manufacturer exhibits showcasing new model-year vehicles, visitors can experience several special displays and test drives:
A Black Tie Kickoff
The action at the Convention Center gets underway on Auto Show Eve (Friday, January 12, 2024, 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.) with the annual Black Tie Tailgate, a moving cocktail party on the exhibition floor. Attendees can enjoy a variety of buffet food stations and dessert tables, an open bar, music from dance band Jellyroll, and full access to the entire show and all displays and exhibits.
Individual tickets start at $325, and group packages for 12 are available discounted to $3,250. A tailgate attendee block of rooms are reservable at a special rate at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown.
For folks who attend the Auto Show every year, there is a selection of new-for-2024 items of note to look forward to.
It wouldn’t be the internationally acclaimed Philly Auto Show without a selection the most anticipated new vehicles on the market. This year’s show features several brand-new models including the GMC Sierra EV, 7th Generation Ford Mustang GT, Chevy Corvette Z06, Lexus LX 600, Nissan GT-R and Buick Wildcat EV Concept.
The aforementioned PECO e-Track has expanded in size and has moved to a slightly new location on the main floor set back from walkways for better walking traffic flow. Custom Alley (see above) has moved up to the exhibition’s main floor and expanded by 30,000 square feet, and has also added the new off-road vehicle segment.
And for the first time, the Philadelphia Auto Show Buyer’s Guide will be available in both digital online and print versions, with more than 300 vehicles showcased.
Tickets are on sale now for the 2024 Philadelphia Auto Show at $20 for adults (13-plus), $12 for children (ages 7-12) and $15 for both seniors (62-plus) and military and veterans (with military ID). The best part: Children 6 and under get in for free with a ticketed adult.
The SEPTA Metro Market-Frankford Line (the new L line) drops commuters one block south of the Convention Center’s Arch Street entrances via the 11th Street or 13th Street stations. Riders on the Broad Street Line (or B Line) can get off at City Hall and walk two blocks east on Market Street to enter the Pennsylvania Convention Center between 11th and 12th streets. (Please note: The entrance on 11th Street is no longer a show entrance as in previous years.)
For those coming in by train from the suburbs, the Pennsylvania Convention Center is easily accessible via the connected Jefferson Station. Take any SEPTA Regional Rail line to the station and follow signs for the Convention Center, then take the escalator up to the Grand Hall entrance on the second floor.
And attendees driving into Center City have plenty of parking options available in garages around the Convention Center as well.
If you need a break during the show or want to take in some other sites and attractions around the Convention Center area, there is plenty to do and see nearby.
The Convention Center sits on the edge of Philly’s Chinatown, offering dozens of restaurants and the famous Friendship Gate arch.
The center is also attached to the 130-year-old Reading Terminal Market — one of the nation’s oldest and largest public markets — a food hall with over 80 vendors from restaurants and bakeries to ice creameries and delis, both sit-down and on-the-go.

The historic sites and history museums of Old City — including the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, The African American Museum in Philadelphia and the National Constitution Center — sit a short walk or shorter rideshare to the east. And the museums along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway lie a few blocks west, where you’ll find the Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Franklin Institute, Barnes Foundation and more.
